NJBIA Releases 'Blueprint Minute' Video Series to Help Inform Voters on Business, Economic Policies

To spur more informed voting among New Jersey’s business community and affordability-challenged residents, NJBIA this week is releasing a short video series highlighting its Blueprint for a Competitive New Jersey, a 28-page policy document that offers New Jersey’s gubernatorial candidates a roadmap to drive innovation and prosperity.
NJBIA’s Blueprint Minute video series provides a summary of each of the document’s content chapters, while inviting the state’s business community and other interested parties to view Democrat Mikie Sherrill and Republican Jack Ciattarelli’s positions and approaches to each respective issue.
NJBIA’s Blueprint was released to both candidates during the association’s “Meet the Gubernatorial Candidates” event just days after the June primaries.
NJBIA, the candidates and their staff have had continuing meetings and conversations about the contents and direction of the policy document.
“We are very encouraged that both candidates have taken a strong interest in our Blueprint and in bringing much-needed improvement to New Jersey’s business climate,” said NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka.
“As this is such a critical election for New Jersey’s business community and our future affordability, NJBIA endeavors to bring as much information as possible, and as in palatable of form as achievable.
“This is not a time to bank on soundbites or even the politics of the day. As the leading advocate for business in the state, it is our obligation to help inform those interested voters who will determine our next governor,” Siekerka said.
Each Blueprint Minute video is presented by Siekerka and NJBIA’s Government Affairs staff, featuring Chief Government Affairs Officer Christopher Emigholz, Deputy Chief Government Affairs Officer Ray Cantor and Vice President of Government Affairs Althea D. Ford.
The videos have a home on NJBIA’s YouTube page and on NJBIA’s Blueprint webpage at njbia.org/blueprint, where the easy-to-read, 28-page document can also be downloaded.
In the days and weeks heading up to Election Day, NJBIA will create webposts and social media featuring each Blueprint Minute, as well as the candidates’ take on each issue.
