NJBIA Statement on the Passing of Senator Anthony Bucco

NJBIA President & CEO Michele Siekerka, Esq., issued this statement today on the death of Senator Anthony R. Bucco, R-25, who passed away on Monday.

“Senator Bucco served the public with great passion and compassion as a long-time member of the state Legislature, as a Morris County freeholder and as mayor in Boonton.

“He was a great friend to the business community, always lending an open ear and an open mind when looking for solutions. Some of those solutions would be drawn upon from his own career in business. And most importantly, he was a calming influence in an oftentimes overcharged political atmosphere.

“We will miss his contributions to the Legislature and his positive nature. The entire NJBIA staff offer its heartfelt condolences to his wife, Helen, and his son, Assemblyman Anthony Bucco.”
