NJBIA Women Business Leaders Forum to Be Held Friday, Sept. 20
On Friday, Sept. 20 from 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Ocean Place Resort in Long Branch, NJBIA will host its 5th annual Women Business Leaders Forum, featuring over 65 speakers sharing insights and inspiration with more than 500 registered attendees.
Friday’s keynote is e-commerce titan Jennifer Fleiss, co-founder of Rent the Runway and Jetblack, two companies disrupting online retail. Motivational speaker Dee C. Marshall headlines the two-hour welcome reception the night prior, Thursday, Sept. 19.
The 2019 forum’s theme is “Owning Your Success,” and will include expert panelists and industry executives leading discussions on how women can advance in corporate leadership and become part of the next generation of CEOs.
The event includes educational breakout sessions in which attendees are encouraged to choose a track based on where they are now in their career and where they aspire to be. There are also coaches’ corners offering one-on-one sessions with professional development experts, and a Ted Talk-style discussion, moderated by Karen Kessler, president of Evergreen Partners, featuring four inspiring female executives:
- Audrey Murphy, Esq., Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, Operations, Hackensack Meridian Health
- Dee C. Marshall, CEO, Diverse and Engaged
- Gina Tokar, Vice President, Business Operations, Panasonic System Solutions
- Marissa Shorenstein, President, Northern Region, AT&T
NJBIA will also honor Amy Mansue, RWJBarnabas Health’s executive vice president and chief experience officer, with the 2019 Caren Franzini Leadership Award on Friday. Four promising students from New Jersey colleges and universities will receive Rising Star awards.
