NJCA’s Statement on Primary Election’s Congressional Results

NEWARK: Following the primary elections results, New Jersey Citizen Action Executive Director Dena Mottola Jaborska, in a statement today, said:

"We congratulate our endorsed candidates Donald Norcross (CD1), Herb Conaway (CD3), Rachel Peace (CD4), Frank Pallone (CD6), Rob Menendez (CD8), Nellie Pou (CD9), LaMonica McIver (CD10) and Analilia Mejia (CD11) who were victorious in their primary races, and thank Bayly Winder (CD2) and Sue Altman (CD12) for putting themselves forward to serve their communities.

The success of many of our endorsed candidates reflects NJ voters’ desire for leaders who will stand with working families, advance economic and racial justice, protect consumers, and strengthen our democracy. These lawmakers will help unify our country and work towards an America where everyone has the chance to thrive and prosper. We look forward to working closely with them to continue to build on the movement that we need to help transform Congress, our state, and our nation.

We also congratulate Zack Mullock (CD2) and Adam Hamawy (CD12) on their wins. We hope they will embrace the values that New Jersey families need from their elected leaders: lowering costs for families, expanding access to affordable healthcare, protecting consumers, strengthening our democracy, and supporting policies that put people ahead of powerful corporate and special interests.

New Jersey Citizen Action is a statewide advocacy and empowerment organization that fights for social, racial and economic justice for all.
