NJGCA Turkey Drive for FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties a Success!
Business owners across the state showed their generosity and answered the call; 271 turkeys delivered to families in need.

Sal Risalvato, Executive Director of the New Jersey Gasoline, C-Store, Automotive Association (NJGCA), released the following statement today after delivering turkeys for the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean counties:

“About a month ago, we sent out a notice to our members that we would be collecting turkeys for Fulfill NJ, the food bank that serves Monmouth and Ocean counties. We received several donations, but what really impressed me was what happened in the last week before the donation date. We had read an article in the Asbury Park Press about the food bank needing donations ahead of the holiday season and disseminated the article to our members. Shortly after, the donations came flooding in and we were able to donate 271 turkeys just days before Thanksgiving.”

“I want to thank our members and member benefit partners for heeding our call to action and really stepping up to make sure no one goes hungry during the holidays. I especially want to thank our Young Professionals group, which helped collect the turkeys and get them to the food bank.”

Linda Kellner, Director of Development and External Relations, was thrilled that NJGCA was able to donate so many turkeys days before Thanksgiving, saying, “Everyone at Fulfill is very thankful to NJGCA. Because of your contribution of turkeys, we’ll be able to meet the community’s needs and ensure all have a happy Thanksgiving.”
