Trenton, NJ – Despite being denounced for corruption by a bipartisan Ethics Committee, Bob Menendez was invited to be a keynote sendoff speaker at an event being hosted Thursday and Friday by the New Jersey Democratic State Committee.

Democrat officials and candidates from around the State are expected to attend this event, including Mikie Sherrill, Tom Malinowski and Andy Kim.

NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt released the following statement about the NJDSC’s prominent promotion of Bob Menendez:

“It’s clear that, as of right now, Bob Menendez is still a leader of the Democrat Party in New Jersey. Candidates in competitive Congressional races are embracing him as the leader of their ticket and all of the corruption that comes with him.

“It’s not too late for his running mates to do the right thing and denounce Menendez and his corrupt practices. If he’s not good enough for Washington Democrats, he shouldn’t be good enough for anyone in New Jersey.
