CWA LOCAL 1091 SET TO GO BACK TO THE BARGAINING TABLE TOMORROW

(LIVINGSTON, NEW JERSEY) –  On Friday, December 15th, nurses at St. Barnabas Medical Center – represented by Communications Workers of America (CWA) Local 1091 – rejected a contract at the hospital over important staffing issues.

Since September, CWA Local 1091 has been bargaining hard for its members. In early December, the nurses overwhelmingly authorized a strike.  Local 1091 got negotiations as far as St. Barnabas was willing to go.  The nurses rejected the tentative agreement, due to concerns over staffing still not being addressed In a meaningful way.

Bargaining at St. Barnabas is set to resume tomorrow, Thursday, December 21st.
