Pascrell Marks Holocaust Remembrance Day

Pascrell Marks Holocaust Remembrance Day

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09), released a statement in observance of Holocaust Remembrance Day, Yom HaShoah.

“Today we pause to remember the Holocaust and the six million Jewish lives extinguished by weaponized hatred. We remember so that antisemitism and bigotry remain homeless and always combatted. Marking this somber day is especially important now, as anti-Jewish prejudice surges in New Jersey and across developed nations. The murderous attacks against synagogues in Poway, California and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania have chilled the world and shown just how much work remains ahead of us. The lessons we carry from the Holocaust must guide us in facing these new challenges. We must commit ourselves to rooting out hatred whenever it rears its hideous head without rest.”
