PASSAIC COUNTY DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE RE-ELECTS JOHN CURRIE AS CHAIRMAN; CHRISTINE TISEO ELECTED VICE CHAIRWOMAN; NICK VELIKY SELECTED TO FILL COUNTY COMMISSION VACANCY

WOODLAND PARK, NJ — The Passaic County Democratic Committee unanimously re-elected Chairman John Currie to another term as Chairman, extending his historic tenure as the longest-serving Chairman in the history of the Passaic County Democratic Organization.

The Committee also elected Christine Tiseo to a full term as Vice Chairwoman. Tiseo had previously been appointed to the position following the resignation of former Vice Chairwoman Barbara Tanis and now assumes the role after earning the confidence and support of the full County Committee.

In addition, the Committee voted to select Nick Veliky to fill the vacancy on the Passaic County Board of County Commissioners created by Commissioner John Bartlett's resignation, who recently accepted a leadership position with the Gateway Development Commission.

Currie thanked committee members for their continued support and confidence in his leadership.

"It is an honor and privilege to continue serving as Chairman of the Passaic County Democratic Committee," said Currie. "Together, we have built one of the strongest Democratic organizations in New Jersey, and I am grateful for the trust our members have once again placed in me. I look forward to continuing our work to elect Democrats at every level, strengthen our organization, and deliver results for the residents of Passaic County."

Under Currie's leadership, the Passaic County Democratic Committee has achieved unprecedented electoral success, helping elect Democratic candidates throughout the county while strengthening the party's grassroots organization and expanding voter engagement efforts.

Chairman Currie also congratulated Tiseo on her election as Vice Chairwoman.

"Christine has already demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and commitment to our party," Currie said. "She has been a tremendous asset to our organization, and I am excited to continue working alongside her as we prepare for the important elections ahead."

Currie also congratulated Veliky on his selection to fill the County Commission vacancy.

"Nick Veliky has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service and to the residents of Passaic County," Currie said. "The members of our County Committee have placed their confidence in Nick to continue the outstanding work of the Board of County Commissioners. I know he will serve with integrity, dedication, and a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for our residents."

Currie also thanked Commissioner John Bartlett for his more than twelve years of dedicated service to Passaic County.

"John Bartlett has been an outstanding public servant whose leadership helped strengthen Passaic County through major infrastructure investments, responsible fiscal management, and an unwavering commitment to serving every resident," Currie said. "On behalf of the Passaic County Democratic Committee, I thank John for his years of dedicated service and wish him continued success in his new role with the Gateway Development Commission."

Tiseo expressed her appreciation for the support of committee members and pledged to continue working to strengthen the Democratic Party throughout Passaic County.

The reorganization meeting brought together Democratic committee members from across Passaic County to unanimously re-elect Chairman Currie, elect Christine Tiseo to a full term as Vice Chairwoman, and select Nick Veliky to fill the vacancy on the Passaic County Board of County Commissioners. The organization now turns its attention to the upcoming election cycle and continues its work to support Democratic candidates and strengthen local Democratic organizations.
