TRENTON — Dominic Marino, President of the Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey (“PFANJ”), and Senate President Steve Sweeney released the following joint statement today regarding the PFANJ’s endorsement of the Senate President for re-election to the New Jersey Senate:
“I am proud to announce that the Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey is proud to endorse a fellow union brother, Steve Sweeney, in his re-election bid to the New Jersey Senate.”
“Since 1929, PFANJ has represented professional firefighters, emergency medical service, and related service members. During his tenure in the Senate, Steve has consistently stood up for labor values and ensured that organized labor always has a seat at the table.”
“PFANJ will always have a seat at the table and I will listen to their concerns when it comes to legislation that impacts its members,” Sweeney said. He continued to say that “he will be a voice for all who risk their lives on a daily basis for the safety of New Jersey’s residents.”
