Phillipsburg Republican Committee Endorsement for the Primary and General Election

Uncontested Republicans for the Office of Mayor and Town Council Seats
Todd M. Tersigni, Mayor Harry Wyant, Jr. and Rob Case for Town Council

Phillipsburg, NJ – Thursday, April 11, 2019 – The Phillipsburg Republican Committee had endorsed the
following candidates who will be running on the Republican ticket for November. Former Council
President Todd M. Tersigni will be running uncontested for Mayor of Phillipsburg on the Republican
ticket, with a party line team of Former Four Term Mayor, and Councilman Harry Wyant, Jr. and
newcomer Rob Case for two Town Council seats.

“I am pleased and honored to announce my candidacy for Mayor of the Town of Phillipsburg, according
to Tersigni. During my term as a Councilman and Council President, I gained an understanding of the
complexities of town government including its capabilities and limitations. I am confident I can restore a
working government to the Town of Phillipsburg, eliminate blighted buildings in town and enforce the
local ordinances to protect our residents. There are many issues that will come before us in the next
four years and as a governing body, will need to compromise to get things done.”

As your local committee, we are proud to have an experienced former Mayor, Harry Wyant, Jr. on our
Council ticket as this will be vital to a successful term in office to navigate the complexities of local,
county and state government. His experience with securing funding, grants and removing blighted
buildings will help us get things done.

We are equally pleased to endorse Rob Case for Council with Tersigni and Wyant. Rob’s experience in job training and personal development will be an asset to our town residents, assist them with the many opportunities that have begun in the last two years, as well as help grow business for local businesses and entrepreneurs. His commitment to our local youth as a Boy Scout leader, soccer coach and father will complement our plans to Unify Phillipsburg into a wellrounded community that once again supports each other, rather than dividing us.

Our candidates believe that the foundation of any thriving community should include education, the
arts, shopping and recreation. If we want to attract companies to the area with local jobs for our
residents, we must work to clean up our town, remove blight and enforce existing ordinances to create
a clean, attractive area where people want to do business. We have to show we care about our
community by keeping it clean.

We commit to work with each other, rather than against. The negativity must end and we must start
lifting each other UP, rather than “fighting”. If elected, it is our intent to Unify Phillipsburg once again.
Our candidates look forward to a positive campaign, meeting residents, and tackling challenges before
us.
