Politically Direct Host Fernando Uribe Honored By Hudson County Latino Foundation

The Hudson County Latino Foundation hosted its Spring Mixer in Downtown Jersey City this week. It was an opportunity for the organization to honor elected officials, activists, journalists and contributors to the Latino community in Hudson County. Executive Director Carolina Jaquez and Founder David Miranda greeted the capacity crowd of 100+ inside the Left Bank Burger Bar as they discussed the importance of the organization. The Hudson County Latino Foundation is focusing on literacy programs, immigration services and financial management in 2019 and well into 2020. Insider NJ’s Professor Fernando Uribe was honored with a Community Service Award for not only his academic accomplishments, but also as a journalist for his online weekly podcast “Politically Direct”, which examines the political scene in the Garden State every Thursday Night at 8:00PM. Attendees included Acting Director of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs Paul Rodriguez, Union City Mayor & State Senator Brian Stack, Jersey City Ward E Councilman James Solomon and Jersey City Council President Rolando Lavarro.
