Portia Allen-Kyle Endorses Cliff Dawkins

The Freeholder fight unites more than it delights.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Portia Allen-Kyle, a civil rights attorney and racial justice advocate, has endorsed Cliff Dawkins for State Senate. Allen-Kyle has held positions at the Voting Rights Lab and the ACLU, as well as served as a Lecturer at Rutgers University and Policy Advisor to the Pete for America campaign.

 

“For as long as I’ve known Cliff, he has shown constant commitment to service,” Allen-Kyle stated.The two have engaged in service and advocacy work together for approximately the last decade. “He is excellent at translating people’s experiences into real, workable solutions. He also has a unique ability to reach across generations to open lines of communication and solve problems through inclusive initiatives. Cliff is a forward-thinking leader who creates opportunities for those he represents, while working to build consensus among people from all walks of life. I am proud to support Cliff for State Senate because I believe his passion for serving his community is exactly what is needed in Trenton.”

Cliff Dawkins is a Democratic Candidate for State Senate in the LD25 Special Election. Dawkins is an attorney specializing in Labor and Employment law. He also serves on several professional organization and nonprofit boards, including the Urban League of Morris County, the Garden State Bar Association-Young Lawyers Division, the National Bar Association-Young Lawyers Division, and the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Civil Practice.

 

Cliff Dawkins resides in Rockaway Borough with his wife and their two children.
