Record-breaking Crowd Attends No Kings 3 in Rahway / Saturday, March 28th

Rahway, NJ, March 29 - Part of a nationwide day of protest, turnout for No Kings 3 in Rahway was more than double that of past gatherings in the location, with organizers estimating the crowd to be just under 3,000, with an official clicker count reaching 2,774 a half hour before the event concluded.

Indivisible Rahway collaborated with nearby group Indivisible Central NJ in planning and hosting the rally, which took place Saturday, March 28, 4-5:30 pm, mostly in and around Veterans Memorial Square, but with attendees also lining both sides of St. Georges Avenue to the south, and in front of the Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum.

"After years of our groups' education, advocacy, and election activism, we're thrilled with the groundswell of public support we saw at No Kings 3,” said Indivisible Central NJ’s Paul Nadler. “We've never been more optimistic that ‘We the People’ are ready to push back effectively against the sociopathic MAGA administration."

"We were really blown away by the number of folks who joined us to speak up for democracy and our constitutional protections,” said Lisa Ferraro, co-leader of Indivisible Rahway. "As more Americans become fed up with the abuses of the Trump administration, our numbers, both nationally and here in New Jersey, keep exploding."

As the crowd took up their positions throughout the rally space, Ferraro moved among them, leading various groups in a recitation of the Peoples' Oath: “I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the civic responsibilities expected of every American. I so affirm.”

While there were no speeches as part of the event, several political figures made an appearance, including three of the four remaining Democratic candidates running to represent New Jersey CD7 in the 2026 election, Brian Varela, Michael Roth and Dr. Tina Shah. Rahway Mayor Raymond Giacobbe was also on hand, as was challenger candidate Hope Moran. Rahway City Council Members Jeff Brooks and Joanna Miles were also in the crowd, along with challenger Andrew Garcia Phillips.

Indivisible Rahway will be holding an organizing meeting on April 14 to discuss future events, while Indivisible Central NJ plans to meet the following week on April 21.
