Pallone Refuses Pezzullo Debate Challenge
Rich Pezzullo, presumptive Republican nominee for Congress in the Sixth District, challenged Democratic Congressman Frank Pallone to a friendly debate on the issue of school choice. The Congressman, who claims to represent the Sixth District, failed to attend.
At the event, sponsored by the Alliance for Free Choice in Education, Pezzullo spoke directly to the crowd about his passion for school choice. “This is an issue I have been fighting for for most of my adult life.”
Pallone, who is seeking an unbelievable sixteenth term, believes our struggling education system should remain as-is. Pezzullo presented a brighter vision for the future of American education. “We are building a new American century,” Pezzullo began, “and that has to start in the classroom. The system is broken, but we can fix it if we work together.”
“It’s shameful enough to inflict a 21 trillion dollar debt on the next generation,” Pezzullo said, “but it’s unconscionable to trap them in a failed, Soviet-style education system that seems to work for everybody but our students, leaving them unable to compete for jobs in a growing global marketplace.”
