Rep. Frank Pallone, NJ Dems Call Out Jack Ciattarelli on Voting Against Sandy Relief, Bowing to Trump & MAGA as They Slash Beach Replenishment Funding
Pallone: “Can you imagine that – you want to be governor of the state of New Jersey, and you vote against disaster relief and help for shore towns at a time when they’re suffering so much?”
ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – Today the New Jersey Democratic State Committee continued its statewide “Jack’s Not for Jersey” press tour focused on “100% MAGA” Jack Ciattarelli’s terrible record and commitment to putting Donald Trump before New Jersey communities, including families and everyday people up and down the Shore.
At the Atlantic Highlands harbor, Rep. Frank Pallone (NJ-06) and Atlantic Highlands Mayor Lori Hohenleitner called Jack out for his shilling for Donald Trump instead of standing up to MAGA beach replenishment cuts out of DC, and voting over and over against vital aid for Sandy victims that passed the Assembly in a bipartisan landslide.

“At the same time we were trying to get funding at the federal level to help people and towns recover from Superstorm Sandy, there was a bipartisan effort in the state legislature to provide relief to shore towns, and to help residents avoid foreclosure and eviction as they rebuilt their homes. Well, Jack Ciattarelli voted no. Can you imagine that – you want to be governor of the state of New Jersey, and you vote against disaster relief and help for shore towns at a time when they’re suffering so much?” said Congressman Frank Pallone (NJ-06).
“I don’t need to tell anyone here about the toll Superstorm Sandy took on our shore towns, or the effects it still has today. We’re still working on repairing things in our harbor from Sandy, but I do want to say a little bit about what happened after the storm subsided, rescue efforts concluded, and the dust began to settle. And I know this personally because our home on Avenue C had massive losses… when he was in the assembly, Jack Ciattarelli voted against financial aid to Sandy victims. He voted against foreclosure protections. And he did it not once – he did it twice,” said Atlantic Highlands Mayor Lori Hohenleitner.
