Last evening, Congresswoman LaMonica McIver (D-10) gave her first State of the District address. McIver highlighted moments from her first full year representing New Jersey's 10th District in Congress and shared her vision for the year ahead. In attendance were elected officials, local leaders, and constituents.

“I am proud to be your voice in Washington,” said McIver. “And it only works because I am listening to you and hearing from you right here in the district.”

“Have things been hard? Yes. Have bad things happened? Yes,” said McIver. “But have we been sitting still? Absolutely not. We got to work. We organized, legislated, and delivered.”

McIver addressed the baseless charges brought against her by the Trump administration head on, spoke about millions of dollars in funding that she has delivered for the district in recent months, and laid out her work on top issues around affordability and justice.
