Rep. Norcross Announces Guest to State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) announced he will be joined by labor leader Charles Wowkanech to hear President Biden lay out his vision to help create jobs, strengthen the middle class, and grow our economy.

Mr. Wowkanech is the president of the New Jersey State AFL-CIO, where he leads the union’s more than 1 million members and their families across the state in pursuit of social and economic justice for all workers. Mr. Wokanech is a fierce champion for protecting workers’ voices by safeguarding collective bargaining rights, creating family-sustaining jobs, and encouraging solidarity across the labor movement.

“Charlie’s efforts to lift up working people in New Jersey set an important example for people across our country. As we implement the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, CHIPS and Science Act, Inflation Reduction Act, and other historic bills signed into law in the last two years, it will be labor leaders like Charlie and everyday working people that drive our nation’s economy and communities forward,” said Congressman Donald Norcross.
