RIBLE APPOINTED TO NEW JERSEY I-BANK BY GOV. SHERRILL

WALL – The Utility and Transportation Contractors Association (UTCA) today announced that Chief Executive Officer David Rible has been appointed to the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank (I-Bank) Board of Directors by Governor Mikie Sherrill. Rible will replace former UTCA CEO Bob Briant, Jr., on the board. Rible’s term runs until January 20, 2028.

“First and foremost, I want to thank Governor Sherrill for appointing me to this position,” said Rible. “The I-Bank plays a key role in enhancing the quality and safety of the state’s infrastructure. Without I-Bank financing, many important projects would not be able to move ahead. I also want to thank Bob Briant, Jr., as well as his father, the late Bob Briant, Sr., for their years of dedication to the I-Bank. No one was more committed to the success and utilization of the I-Bank than Bob and his father. Replacing the I-Bank’s biggest advocates will be a challenge, but I look forward to joining the board and playing an active part in building a stronger New Jersey.”

The I-Bank is an independent State financing authority that provides and administers low-interest loans to eligible municipalities, counties, regional authorities, and water purveyors to finance critical infrastructure projects throughout New Jersey. This funding helps ensure the state has safe, reliable and modern transportation infrastructure.

Rible has been with the UTCA since 2019, first serving as Executive Director before becoming CEO earlier this year. In that time, he has focused on a variety of issues critical to the industry, including renewal of the Transportation Trust Fund, strengthening the state’s infrastructure and bringing heightened awareness to mental health within the industry. In March of this year, he was named a 2026 Silver Gull Award Recipient by the Monmouth-Ocean Development Council. The award recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations whose leadership and service have strengthened the economic vitality and quality of life in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Prior to joining UTCA, Rible was the Director of the New Jersey Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission (ABC). In 2007, he was elected to the New Jersey Assembly, where he served until 2017. In his decade in the Legislature, he was known for reaching across the aisle to achieve bipartisan consensus on critical issues. Rible was the prime sponsor of bipartisan legislation that reauthorized the state’s Transportation Trust Fund, which pays for critical transportation infrastructure projects.

Rible served in various leadership positions while in the Assembly, including Conference Leader and Republican Whip. He served on the Education and Law and Public Safety Committees. He is also a former Wall Township police officer and detective.
