“Rosemary Becchi is the only candidate fit to serve the people of New Jersey’s Seventh Congressional District.”

Short Hills, NJ  – Rosemary Becchi, a Republican candidate for New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District, was endorsed today by FreedomWorks for America, a national conservative organization of 6 million Americans focused on promoting free markets and individual liberty.

“As a seasoned tax policy attorney, Becchi has served as an advisor to both the Internal Revenue Service and the Senate Finance Committee, where she co-authored the 529 College Savings Plan,” said FreedomWorks for America Executive Director  Noah Wall.

“With her proven commitment to sensible spending, her commitment to free markets, and her strong conservative principles, Rosemary Becchi is the only candidate fit to serve the people of New Jersey’s Seventh Congressional District. FreedomWorks for America is proud to support a strong conservative such as Becchi this election cycle,” he added.

Rosemary embraced the endorsement, citing shared principles with FreedomWorks members regarding their support for free enterprise and smaller government.

“I am so thankful to have FreedomWorks’ endorsement for my Congressional campaign. It means a great deal to me to have the support of fellow Americans who understand that the only way we all can truly realize our potential is through the free market system and without an overbearing government taxing us to the point of making life unaffordable, which is the case in New Jersey,” said Rosemary.

“New Jersey families are eager to find leaders who will lower taxes, downsize our bloated, expensive government and promote policies that invigorate our free market system so the Garden State’s economy can grow and create the kinds of sustainable jobs that allow families to prosper here — and not feel like they must move out of the state to pursue their dreams,” she added.

Rosemary is committed to seeing that New Jersey families get more from Washington and to protect New Jersey’s private sector jobs and businesses from misguided, economy-killing policies such as the Green New Deal and Medicare for All.

Rosemary has spent the past 25 years working in public policy and the law, building a reputation as a leading tax policy lawyer and consultant. She is widely known as a political advocate on the federal and state stages, more recently for founding and leading Jersey First, a non-profit organization with the mission to educate and advocate for policy solutions to lower taxes, reduce government spending and help put that Garden State’s economy back on track.

She began her career in the public sector at the IRS as an attorney and advisor before moving on to the majority staff of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee as tax counsel. It was during her time on the Finance Committee that Rosemary co-authored the “529 college savings plans,” the tax-free accounts used today used by parents across the country to help their children pay for college, and college affordability is another issue she wants to address in Washington.

Rosemary has focused her career on regulatory and policy matters, developing collaborative relationships with key national leaders in both chambers of Congress, the Treasury Department, the Securities Exchange Commission, the Federal Reserve Board and other federal and state agencies.

She also has worked extensively with industry and trade associations.

Rosemary has served in a leadership role of the Tax Coalition, including as the chair, and she most recently served as Chairman of the Board of Running Start, an organization dedicated to getting more women elected to public office.  Rosemary is also the New Jersey Chair for Maggie’s List, which focuses on electing conservative women to federal public office.

Rosemary currently works as a Strategic Advisor and Counsel at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, where she specializes in tax and financial services matters.

Rosemary lives in Short Hills with her husband, Scott and their three daughters.
