Salvation And Social Justice: Public Hearing Use of Force by Police in Pleasantville 5/21 at 6 PM
Pleasantville and Atlantic City were among the highest use of force rates in the state. We have heard compelling and powerful testimony from survivors and families crushed by police violence. Voices have been lifted up from Newark and Paterson and now it’s your turn. Before we get to transformation, healing, reconciliation, or forgiveness we must first have truth, repentance, repair and accountability. NJ Advanced Media’s groundbreaking work in the Force Report has given data to justify what African Americans in NJ have known for decades. Racially abusive policing is real and must be abolished. We need to bring the change to the system and not wait for the system to bring change to us.
Have you, a family member, or a friend been the victim of the use of force by police anywhere in South Jersey? If so we want to hear from you.
Join us on 5.21.19 at 6 PM as we come to Pleasantville at Mt. Zion Baptist Church where the Reverend Willie Dwayne Francois is the Pastor.
