Schaer to Unveil Legislation Designed to Combat Gang Recruitment of Minors

 

(PASSAIC) – Assemblyman Gary Schaer will be joined by Passaic City Mayor Hector C. Lora, Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik, and Passaic City Chief of Police Luis Guzman as he unveils comprehensive legislation designed to crack down on street gangs and their ability to attract and recruit minors, an issue that has grown as gangs begin to employ more sophisticated methods for recruitment, such as social media.

In addition to elected leaders and local law enforcement, Schaer has also invited community leaders, teachers, coaches, volunteers, and students to the event.
