Sen. Rand Paul Endorses Steve Lonegan for Congress
Says “Few have done more to spread the message of freedom and limited government in New Jersey than Steve”

Hackensack, NJ — U.S. Senator Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, today announced his endorsement of former Bogota Mayor Steve Lonegan, the conservative Republican who is running for Congress in New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District.

“Over the past two decades, few have done more to spread the message of freedom and limited government in New Jersey than Steve Lonegan,” Sen. Paul said. “Steve has always been an ardent defender of the entire Constitution and Bill of Rights and is committed to transferring more of Washington bureaucrats’ power back to the American people. I hope you’ll join me in supporting his bid to defeat Rep. Josh Gottheimer in the Fifth District.”

“Senator Paul is one of the most conservative, constitutional-minded leaders we have in Washington, D.C.,” Lonegan said. “His support means so much to me, my wife Lorraine, and my entire campaign team.
