Singleton to Host ‘Boost With Facebook’ Event in Mount Laurel

 

Free workshop will teach digital marketing skills, tools to grow businesses

 

Mount Laurel – As part of his ongoing commitment to support the business community in South Jersey, Senator Troy Singleton announced that he is partnering with Facebook to host a “Boost with Facebook” event in Burlington County.

The FREE event will take place at Rowan College at Burlington County, Votta Hall, 900 College Circle in Mount Laurel on Friday, April 3. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m., with the event running from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Senator Singleton will deliver welcome remarks before the digital skills training for small businesses and individuals. The event will feature a presentation by a Facebook expert on how to use the platform effectively to maximize business potential. “The ‘Boost with Facebook’ event is an opportunity for small businesses and individuals to take their Facebook and Instagram marketing skills to the next level,” said Senator Singleton. “We know the power of social media in the 21st century and we want to ensure that small businesses and entrepreneurs have the skills they need to promote their companies, products, and services on these platforms.”

The Senator and Facebook are co-hosting the “Boost with Facebook” event in partnership with the following business organizations: Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Southern New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, New Jersey State Veterans Chamber of Commerce, Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, and the National Association of Women Business Owners – South Jersey Chapter.

“I am especially grateful to the chambers and business organizations who are partnering with us on this event. They represent a wide array and diverse segment of our business community – Burlington County, South Jersey, veterans, women, Hispanics and African-Americans – and we are thankful for their participation,” continued Senator Singleton.

Hundreds of businesses from the area have been invited to attend this FREE educational event to ensure small business owners have the most up-to-date tools, insights, and best practices for achieving success. In addition to the Facebook presentation, over a dozen organizations will host resource tables including: US Small Business Administration, NJ Department of Treasury, NJ Economic Development Authority, NJ Business Action Center, Rutgers Small Business Development Center, RCBC Workforce Development, SJ Millennials, and SJ Young Professionals Association.
