Speaker Coughlin Statement on Sept. 11 Anniversary

(TRENTON) – Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin (D-Middlesex) issued the following statement today commemorating the 17th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks:

“Today is not just another day on the calendar. Today’s date is etched in the hearts and minds of all Americans. It is still difficult to comprehend the senseless loss of human life and the extent of human cruelty. Our sense of security was shaken perhaps like never before or since. Today we mourn once again for those lost 17 years ago. I can only imagine how difficult this day must be for the families who lost loved ones in the attacks. I hope you will find some comfort in knowing that the country is behind you. We will never forget.”
