Springfield Township Committeeman Christopher Capodice Endorses Linda Weber for Congress in New Jersey’s 7th District

Christopher Capodice, an educator who serves on the Springfield Township Committee, has endorsed technology and finance trailblazer Linda Weber for Congress in the 7th District of New Jersey. This endorsement comes on the heels of that of Berkeley Heights Councilwoman Susan Poage.

“Linda Weber is a friend, a Union County neighbor, and a long-time leader in the community. She understands the needs of Union County because she has deep roots here and has devoted her time and resources to supporting local service organizations, community initiatives, and progressive causes. This week she hosted a roundtable discussion with Union County students on reforming our nation’s gun laws where she used her platform to elevate their voices and leadership,” stated Springfield Township Committeeman Christopher Capodice. “Even though Linda had her own campaign to run, she supported Springfield Democrats and my campaign in 2017. She was also a strong supporter of Springfield’s 1st Annual Women’s Leadership Forum where she brought attendees from around Union County and beyond. Congress needs this type of committed and authentic leadership, which is why I proudly endorse Linda Weber for Congress.”

“I’m so grateful to have the support of Committeeman Capodice. He is a dedicated public servant, husband, and father. I’ve had the opportunity to get to know him, and he is truly committed to improving his community and making a difference. We need more people like him in our government, and I am honored to call him a friend,” said Linda Weber.

Linda has also been endorsed by the Somerset County Democratic Committee, the Essex County Democratic Committee, and 25 of New Jersey’s most influential women leaders including Myra Terry, founder of Emerge New Jersey and former NOW New Jersey President. Her other endorsements include: Susan Poage, Berkeley Heights Councilwoman; Diane Eglow, Millburn Township Committeewoman; Richard Sun, former Summit Councilman-At-Large; Ted Romankow, former Union County prosecutor and former Mayor of Berkeley Heights; and the Network for Public Education Action and its founder, Diane Ravitch, a former United States Assistant Secretary of Education and a leading education policy expert.

Linda, who launched her campaign on Mother’s Day on MSNBC, is most known for having built some of the nation’s first online banking applications. Currently, she is the Senior Vice President of IDB Bank. She is also a mother of two sons and resides in Berkeley Heights with her husband of 31 years, Mark Weber, an educator in the Warren Township Public Schools.
