Springfield Democrats Endorse Mandelblatt & Gunderman for Assembly

Berkeley Heights, NJ – Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman have received the endorsements of Springfield Mayor Erica DuBois and Committeemen Alex Keiser, Richard Huber, and Chris Weber.

“I’m proud to endorse Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman to be the next Assembly Members for the 21st Legislative District. They are a strong team and are committed to improving the lives of all residents in the district,” said Mayor Erica DuBois. “It is crucial that the district has representatives who will fight for its needs. Lisa and Stacey are not afraid of a fight. I look forward to working with Lisa and Stacey over the coming months and in 2020 when they are in Trenton.”

“I got the chance to meet both Lisa and Stacey during Tom Malinowski’s campaign. Both worked tirelessly to help get him elected. Their commitment to doing the hard work impressed me,” said Alex Keiser. “I’m going to work hard for them to make sure they unseat Jon Bramnick and Nancy Munoz. The district needs representatives who are responsive and willing to fight for things like NJTransit funding. Bramnick and Munoz have shown themselves to be unequal to the task.”

“We are seeing a groundswell of support across the district for Democrats at every level. In 2019 I’m excited to see this rising tide give us two new Assembly Members, Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman,” said Chris Weber. “Bramnick and Munoz have failed the district time and time again. I’m excited to be represented by Lisa and Stacey because they want to fight to improve the district by funding NJTransit and fighting for sensible gun laws.”

“Lisa and Stacey are excellent candidates. Like them I want to see NJTransit funded, our tax burden reduced, and investment in our public infrastructure,” said Richard Huber. “I’m endorsing the team of Lisa and Stacey because they are fighters.”

“I grew up in Springfield and my parents still live in the same house. Receiving the endorsements of Mayor DuBois and Committeemen Keiser, Weber, and Huber means a great deal to me.” said Lisa Mandelblatt. “There is a lot of work to be done in the 21st District. The district has been represented by two failed politicians, Jon Bramnick and Nancy Munoz, for too long. Stacey and I are going to fight every day until Election Day and every day after to represent the needs of the district.”

“I’m honored to have the support of Mayor DuBois and Committeemen Keiser, Weber, and Huber.” said Stacey Gunderman. “Lisa and I are committed to fighting for the needs of the district and for the values and priorities of our neighbors. Lisa and I are for modernizing our transportation, investing in infrastructure and education, and strengthening our gun control laws.”

Mandelblatt and Gunderman have also been endorsed by Congressman Tom Malinowski, Westfield Mayor Shelley Brindle, Roselle Park Mayor Joseph Signorello III, Berkeley Heights Mayor Angie Devanney, Berkeley Heights Councilmembers Susan Poage, Alvaro Medeiros, and Stephen Yellin, former LD 21 candidate Lacey Rzeszowski, and former Summit Mayor Jordan Glatt.
