LD2 Election Results
|(Northfield, NJ) — Fresh off big victories in yesterday’s election, Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo and Assemblyman-elect John Armato thanked their supporters who elected two Democratic Assemblymembers from the 2nd District for the first time in 43 years.
“We are humbled by the tremendous outpouring of support from yesterday’s decisive victory. We look forward to going to Trenton to continue to fight for Atlantic County — for jobs, for property tax relief, for our veterans, and for combating the heroin and opioid epidemic,” said Mazzeo and Armato.
Mazzeo and Armato added, “We believe the upcoming 218th Legislature, under the leadership of future Speaker Craig Coughlin and his entire leadership team, we will take big steps towards our shared goals. As is custom and tradition, we look forward to a swift vote on new leadership so that together with Governor-elect Phil Murphy and Lt. Governor-elect Sheila Oliver we can turn the tide on the Christie administration towards a better future for all New Jersey residents and businesses.”
