Statement from Atlantic Health System Leadership on Care for Federal Government Workers

“At a time when many families face uncertainty due to the government shutdown, Atlantic Health System is committing additional resources to support the health and financial well-being of our communities.  We are joining with healthcare colleagues across New Jersey and throughout the nation in waiving co-pays for federal government workers for the duration of the shutdown in all of our Emergency Departments and Atlantic Medical Group practices.” – Brian Gragnolati, President & CEO, Atlantic Health System

“Realizing we are serving not just patients, but communities, we believe it is important to support overall wellbeing by taking a holistic approach that eases some of the burdens these government workers face during this trying time.”  – Nikki Sumpter, Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer, Atlantic Health System

  • Atlantic Health System will host two job fairs on Thursday, January 24 and 31, 2019 at its corporate headquarters (475 South Street, Morristown, NJ) to assist government workers with finding temporary or full-time roles at Atlantic Health System, in areas including clerical, clinical support, food services, nursing support and more.
  • The loss of income has forced many government workers to turn to food banks. To alleviate the added burden, Atlantic Health System is hosting a system-wide food drive benefiting local food banks. Donations will be accepted at hospitals and other select locations across the system.
  • Understanding that many of the 16,500 Atlantic Health System team members are a part of households that include government workers, we are offering enhanced employee health services and financial support to include grants, low interest loans, paid time off cash-out options and other special benefits.
