Statement from Governor Murphy on the Passing of Yolanda Egan, Wife of Assemblyman Joe Egan

Statement from Governor Murphy on the Passing of
Yolanda Egan, Wife of Assemblyman Joe Egan
“Yolanda Egan was as committed to doing good in her community as she was to her husband of nearly 60 years, Assemblyman Joe Egan, and her children and grandchildren. Devoutly faithful, she was a loving wife and mom, and an active leader at St. Peter’s Medical Center in New Brunswick, serving not just on the Board of Trustees, but volunteering in the gift shop to remain close to the families whose loved ones were seeking care. She wasn’t just Joe’s partner in life, but also in politics, and in doing good things for New Brunswick and our state. Theirs was a true love story that lasted six decades. Tammy and I send our deepest condolences to Joe and their four children, Joseph Jr, Kevin, Tim and Patty, their extended family, and to everyone Yolanda touched in life.”
