STATEWIDE –June 5th, Primary Election Day 2018– Grassroots activists are planning a second major push to ask New Jerseyans to support expanding access to driver’s licenses for more residents including undocumented immigrants, seniors, victims of violence, and members of the LGBTQ community. Activists canvassing on primary day urging voters to send postcards urging their legislators to support expanding access to driver’s licenses.
Expanded access to driver’s licenses is expected to benefit to all New Jerseyans through increased road safety, a boost to New Jersey’s economy through collection of fees and insurance payments, and increase the well-being of communities by decreasing the risk of family separation.
