Release: Suleiman Statement on Primary Election Results

"I want to commend Steve Sweeney for the terrific race he ran for Governor. Steve has been a dear friend of mine for many years, and all of us in New Jersey are better off because of everything he has accomplished over his illustrious career.

"I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill on her victory tonight. I've gotten to know Mikie over the past year, and I know that she will be an excellent Governor. Atlantic County Democrats will do everything we can to make sure she is successful in November. It's my hope that New Jersey Democrats can now put our differences aside and unite behind her as our nominee."
