Sweeney to Attend Grand Opening of Hard Rock Hotel – Tour Stockton University’s AC Campus

TRENTON – Senate President Steve Sweeney will participate in the grand opening ceremonies of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City this morning and then tour Stockton University’s Atlantic City campus with Dr. Harvey Kesselman, President of Stockton University.

The Legislature’s budget provides funding for 305 jobs needed to support the opening and the operations of the new campus — which is key to promoting the economic revitalization of the city. The funding and the jobs may be at risk of being lost if the state budget approved by the Senate and Assembly is not enacted.

• Hard Rock – The opening ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., the Etess Arena,  The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, which is on the site of the former Trump Taj Mahal, 1000 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, New Jersey 08401. Scheduled celebrities and performers include actor Michael B. Jordan, singer/songwriter Kiiara, and the current Miss America 2018, Cara Mund.

• Stockton University – The tour of Stockton University in Atlantic City, at Albany Avenue & The Boardwalk, at 12:15 p.m., Thursday, June 28^th.
