Sweeney Statement on the Passing of Navy Veteran Kevin Yali

Trenton – Senate President Steve Sweeney issues the following statement on the passing of Kevin Yali, who lost his life serving in Afghanistan:

“Kevin Yali is a life lost far too soon and my heart goes out to his family, friends and loved ones.

“In 27 years of life he served four tours, a level of valor and selflessness few display in a lifetime. Our country is indebted to this brave and dedicated young man. His service to the country was inspirational but the loss to the communities of Paterson and Midland Park cannot be overstated. New Jersey has lost a true hero.”
