Sweeney Visits Easterseals Employment Services

Trenton – Senate President Steve Sweeney visited Easterseals Employment Services today. The Millville facility that operates as part of a statewide network provides services for an estimated 9,000 individuals with disabilities.

“Serving communities across New Jersey for 70 years, Easterseals has helped countless individuals with disabilities lead their most fulfilling lives,” said Senator Sweeney (D-Gloucester/Salem/Cumberland). “Striving to better the lives of those with disabilities has been one of my most satisfying rewards as a public servant. The devoted individuals at Easterseals Employment Services share the same passion that drives me, which is a shared priority to help our loved ones achieve full and happy lives.”

Serving New Jersey since 1948, Easterseals New Jersey’s mission is to change the way the world defines and views disabilities by making profound, positive differences in people’s lives.

“We deeply appreciate the Senate President for taking the time to visit us today,” said Brian Fitzgerald, President and CEO of Easterseals New Jersey. “Much like our staff, he has a fierce dedication and commitment to the people in our state with physical and developmental disabilities. After today, I know he understands our commitment and contribution to not only the community of Millville but to the entire State of New Jersey.”

Individuals with developmental disabilities including autism, physical disabilities, mental illness and other special needs receive services through Easterseals in programs designed to help them work toward achieving independence and full community-integration.
