Thousands of Believers To Attend Prayerfest 2018 At Rockaway NJ’s Christ Church on July 27
At Rockaway NJ’s Christ Church on July 27
ROCKAWAY, NJ (June 20, 2018) Christ Church in Northern New Jersey will be hosting Prayerfest 2018 (http://www.prayerfest.net), an all-day celebration of prayer that anticipates over 3,000 attendees from across the United States representing diverse cultures, ethnicities, and denominations. The event will also be simulcast live with an expected 65,000 worshipers from around the world tuning in online. Prayerfest 2018 takes place on Friday, July 27 from 9am-3pm at Christ Church’s West Campus location at 140 Green Pond Road, Rockaway, NJ.
Christ Church is a multi-site Christian church with locations in Rockaway and Montclair and an 8,800-strong multi-racial congregation representing over 60 nationalities, founded by Dr. David D. Ireland (www.davidireland.org).
Prayerfest, now in its 8th year, is the church’s largest annual gathering where attendees will learn and practice the spiritual secrets involved in building a richer and stronger prayer life. Sessions will be led by top intercessory coaches and worship leaders who have made a difference in their communities. The event will focus on praying for the challenges facing our families, communities, the nation, the world and the Church at large.
Attendees may also submit prayer requests for issues affecting themselves and loved ones, including spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being, family crisis, financial stability, childrens needs, and more.
“At Prayerfest 2018, we will provide people with the tools to win their battles through prayer” says Dr. Ireland. “As racial relations continue to be a major issue in the United States, we also encourage all who attend to become reconcilers by teaching them how to cross cultural lines and model diversity in every area of their lives.”
In addition to hosting Prayerfest 2018, Ireland is also the author of the recent book, One in Christ: Bridging Racial and Cultural Divides (Regnery Faith, $24.99; March 26, 2018), and serves as a diversity consultant to the National Basketball Association (NBA). In One in Christ, he urges Christians to be proactive in creating racial unity and answers challenging questions like:
– How can a church make itself more attractive to diversity?
– What are the steps to racial reconciliation as a nation?
– How should a Christian react to controversial movements like Black Lives Matter?
– How do you cross cultural lines? How can you be a reconciler in your everyday
life?
