TIM ALEXANDER FOR CONGRESS CAMPAIGN RECEIVES LATEST ENDORSEMENTS FROM LEADERS IN SALEM AND ATLANTIC COUNTIES
OCEANVILLE, N.J. (February 10, 2026) – The Tim Alexander for Congress Campaign today announced the endorsements of Hamilton Township Committeewoman Dr. Thelma Witherspoon and Penns Grove Mayor La’Daena Londo.
In endorsing Alexander, Witherspoon said that as a lifelong public servant, she understands the importance of choosing leaders who will fight for our communities. “I have spent decades serving the community and working collaboratively with colleagues across party lines because progress requires unity and accountability.
“I am endorsing Tim Alexander for Congress,” Witherspoon continued, “because his values and campaign are about building an equitable future where every family can thrive and prosper. Unlike other candidates, Tim has refused corporate PAC money because he understands that public service is about communities, not corporations.”
Londo said in her endorsement that the constituents in New Jersey’s 2nd District deserve a representative in Washington who will do the work and fight for real results, not headlines. “We work for safe neighborhoods, strong schools, reliable infrastructure and economic opportunity in Penns Grove,” Londo said.
“I am endorsing Tim because his campaign reflects those same priorities, investing in our communities, expanding opportunity, defending fundamental rights, and making government work for the people, not special interests. If you’re ready for leadership that’s real, leadership that will serve and deliver, then I invite you to join me in supporting Tim Alexander for Congress.”
Alexander accepted the endorsements with the following statement:
"I am deeply humbled to have the trust of Hamilton Township Committeewoman Witherspoon and Penns Grove Mayor Londo. This isn’t just about winning an election. It’s about building a coalition that ensures South Jersey finally gets the representation, the resources, and the respect we deserve in Washington. I do not accept contributions from PACs, and the money I’ve raised to date is almost exclusively from within this district.
Alexander pointed out that at least one of his opponents in the Democratic Primary Election has received a substantial amount in contributions from outside the 2nd District and even outside New Jersey. “If elected, I will serve the interests of my constituents alone, and not those of groups and individuals from outside our district.”
These latest endorsements follow those of Atlantic County Democratic Chairman Michael Suleiman, and Atlantic City Council President Aaron "Sporty" Randolph and Councilman Kaleem Shabazz.
