TODAY Legislators Call on People to Stand Up to Trump and March for Climate Change

WHAT: Assemblyman Tim Eustace, Assemblyman John McKeon, Assemblywoman Liz Muoio, and Assemblyman Zwicker will join the New Jersey Sierra Club to send off hundreds of local constituents and Sierra Club members to the People’s Climate March on a tele-phone conference today.  On Saturday, April 29th, thousands of people throughout the nation and the world are coming together in Washington D.C. to demand action on climate change 100 days into Trump’s presidency. People will be marching against President Trump’s attack on our environment and rollback of climate protections. There will be over 14 Sierra Club buses leaving from New Jersey, including buses from Princeton, Paramus, Lincroft, Wall, Newton, Camden, West Orange, Chatham, New Brunswick and Jersey City. Jeff Tittel, Director of the New Jersey Sierra Club released the following statement:

“Climate change is real. We are seeing the impacts to public health on a daily basis. President Trump and the Republican Congress by denying climate change are denying our future. We are coming out for the People’s Climate March to tell the fossil fools in Washington not only that climate change is real, but they need to do something about it. Tens of thousands of people are coming to the streets to say enough hot air, we want action. We are joining to say we want you to fight climate change and create green energy jobs. We must make the planet great again.”
