Trump and Tom Kean Jr.’s Project 2025 is an extreme manifesto that would have far-reaching consequences for New Jersey schools, students, workers, and families.

Kean Jr. and his Project 2025 would severely hurt working families and our education system by: 

• Shuttering public schools across the county, harming communities.
• Worsening teacher shortages by decimating 180,000 teaching positions.
• Calling to dismantle the Department of Education.
  • This could include cuts to the Office of Civil Rights (OCR), which House Republicans have already voted to cut by $10 million.
• Eliminating Head Start which serves over 800,000 children in all 50 states.
• Raising costs for families and students struggling with high education costs.

These far reaching Project 2025 proposals are deeply unpopular with voters – a large majority of voters oppose the agenda as they learn more about it.
