UYEN KHUONG, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF ACTION TOGETHER NJ, ENDORSES WELLE FOR CONGRESS Grassroots Leader Endorses Several NJ Candidates in Key Districts

Red Bank, NJ

In a statement released on Saturday, Uyen Khuong, executive director of grassroots organization Action Together New Jersey, issued her personal endorsement of Josh Welle to represent New Jersey’s 4th District in Congress.

Khuong, who also endorsed candidates Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), Tanzie Youngblood (NJ-2), Tom Malinowski (NJ-7) and Andy Kim (NJ-3), highlighted the service experience of these leaders as a crucial factor in her decision.

In a statement, Khuong said that “It is not a coincidence that they have all made sacrifices to our country. During this precarious time in our history, their experiences in serving our country and protecting our American ideals and values truly resonates with me and with other patriots. They all chose to serve their country once again as public servants here in New Jersey. Some key issues that they will support are affordable healthcare for all, good paying jobs that will put the workers first, and protecting women’s rights.

And as someone who has owned a rifle and supports the 2nd Amendment, I am encouraged that all these candidates will support sensible gun violence prevention policies and have pledged not to take money from the NRA. We have this embarrassment of riches of fine American patriots running for congressional office in New Jersey and I am humbled to support them.”

Welle accepted the endorsement with gratitude. “Grassroots leaders like Uyen work tirelessly to lift up the voices of the disenfranchised through the power of their votes. Her endorsement is so meaningful because her hard work and dedication inspire so many.”
