Verrelli Receives an “A” Grade from Boots of Recovery

TRENTON, NJ — Assemblyman Anthony S. Verrelli (LD-15) is honored to commemorate
today his “A” Grade from Boots of Recovery . Boots of Recovery first announced that
Verrelli receives an “A” grade on 23 August 2019.

Verrelli , a known advocate for our brave public safety officers, expressed his commitment
towards combating addiction and safeguarding the mental health and overall well-being of
first responders everywhere.

“Addiction impacts our family, friends, and loved ones,” said Assemblyman Verrelli . “Our
afternoon we public safety officers are true patriots who put serving their communities above
their physical and mental well-being for the sake of protecting New Jerseyans and their
families. They are a special type of public servant who fight for us every day, and we must
ensure that they have healthy coping mechanisms to deal with the stress as the rigors and
hardships of their duty take their toll. I am extremely grateful for the work done by Boots of
Recovery and wholeheartedly believe in their mission. No one should have to face the trials
of addiction alone, and it is imperative that we work to end the stigma surrounding addiction
and mental illness.”

Assemblyman Verrelli added, “We are indebted to the service our public safety officers
selflessly provide. When addiction rears its ugly head, we must make sure that they have
access to counseling, peer to peer mentoring, and a strong support network. Our first
responders have our backs, and it is important that they know we have theirs.”
