Weinberg Press Conference on Senate Bill Limiting Non-Disclosure Agreements in Cases of Sexual Assault and Harrassment
TRENTON – Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D-Bergen) will hold a press conference on Thursday, June 7, at 11:30 a.m. to discuss S-121, a bill scheduled for a vote in the full Senate Thursday that would make non-disclosure agreements in employment contracts and settlement agreements in cases of discrimination, retaliation or harassment – including sexual harassment and sexual assault – unenforceable against employees.
Senator Weinberg and Senator Nia Gill (D-Essex/Passaic) are prime sponsors of the legislation. Senate Education Committee Chairwoman M. Teresa Ruiz (D-Essex) is a co-sponsor.
