Wyckoff Committeewoman Changes Party Registration
The Wyckoff Republican County Committee welcomed Committeewoman Melissa Rubenstein this week as she changed her party registration from Democrat to Republican. Chairperson Drita McNamara said, “This is a great day for the Republican party and more importantly for the taxpayers of Wyckoff. We look forward to Melissa’s continued service.”
Committeewoman Rubenstein made the following statement:
“This week I officially changed my party affiliation with the Bergen County Superintendent of Elections. My decision to do so was based on people over party. While many are focused on issues of national significance, I have chosen to caucus with the elected officials who I believe are more focused on the challenges and matters that Wyckoff residents face day to day.”
Committeewoman Rubenstein was sworn into office on the Wyckoff Township Committee on January 1, 2018. She is married with two children, a trained attorney and works as a Realtor at Keller Williams Village Square Realty. She previously served as a Congressional intern for the late Marge Roukema. Rubenstein has lived in the township for five years and has been actively involved in the Newcomers and Neighbors Club and the Community Service Committee of the GBAR Board of Realtors. She has volunteered with the Paramus Veterans Home and Rebuilding Together, among other projects.
