Annual fundraiser brings community together to create life-changing mentoring relationships for local young people

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal & Northern New Jersey (BBBSCNNJ) invites community members, businesses, and supporters to tee up for a cause at the 6th Annual Big Shots Golf Classic on October 5. This signature fundraising event is dedicated to creating and sustaining one-to-one mentoring relationships that help young people reach their full potential.

Every day, young people across New Jersey benefit from the guidance, encouragement, and support of caring adult mentors. Funds raised through the Big Shots Golf Classic help BBBSCNNJ recruit, screen, train, and support volunteer mentors, ensuring more young people have access to opportunities that build confidence, open doors, and change lives.

"Mentorship is one of the most effective investments we can make in a young person's future," said William Salcedo, Executive Director of BBBSCNNJ. "When a young person has a caring adult in their corner, they gain confidence, opportunity, and support that can last a lifetime. The Big Shots Golf Classic is more than a day on the course. It's an opportunity for our community to come together and create more of these life-changing connections."

Since its inception, the Big Shots Golf Classic has brought together corporate partners, community leaders, volunteers, and supporters who share a commitment to helping young people thrive. The event combines a memorable day of golf, networking, and camaraderie with a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of children facing adversity.
