AFP Releases Statement Following Governor Phil Murphy's Final State of the State
TRENTON, NJ - Today, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) released the following statement following Governor Phil Murphy's final State of the State address.
AFP North East Region Director Ross Connolly said:
"After eight years under Governor Murphy, New Jersey is one of the most expensive states for families and businesses. This is causing New Jerseyans to move to low-tax states that offer more opportunities and less regulation.
"The Governor's speech offered a retrospective view on his time in office, often stating that the state's future has never been brighter, but we disagree. In order to get New Jersey back on track, we urge lawmakers and the new administration to prioritize economic freedom and fiscal responsibility that will benefit all of the Garden State."
Through broad-based grassroots outreach, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is driving long-term solutions to the country’s biggest problems. AFP activists engage friends and neighbors on key issues and encourage them to take an active role in building a culture of mutual benefit, where people succeed by helping one another. AFP recruits and unites New Jerseyans behind a common goal of advancing policies that will help people improve their lives. For more information, visit www.AmericansForProsperity.org
