American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Endorses Rebecca Bennett for Congress

SOMERVILLE, NJ — Today, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Council 63 announced that they are endorsing Rebecca Bennett in New Jersey’s seventh congressional district. Union leadership cited Rebecca’s focus on lowering costs, her commitment to protecting the right to organize, and restoring healthcare benefits as reasons for the endorsement.

“I am honored to earn the endorsement of AFSCME in this race. Our public sector workers show up every day to ensure that we have access to the services we need. In Congress, I’ll work with AFSCME union members to lower healthcare costs, expand access to quality care, protect collective bargaining rights, and ensure that every public sector employee has access to the pension that they’ve earned,” said Rebecca Bennett.

As a long-time public servant, Rebecca has never forgotten who government is supposed to work for and she understands that AFSCME members keep New Jersey running.
