Assemblyman Abdelaziz: Sherrill is 'A Get-Things-Done' Gov

PATERSON - Silk City is the melting pot. "All roads lead back to Peterson," says Assemblyman Al Abdelaziz (D-35).
"I'm a proud Palestinian American. In Paterson, we all come together, regardless of your race, your gender, we support building that American Dream," the Assemblyman said in response to a question by InsiderNJ regarding the divisiveness of President Donald J. Trump and what Paterson stands for in opposition to Trump's miniaturization of the country.
Abdelaziz supported the bill Governor Mikie Sherrill signed into law that prevents law enforcement from wearing masks when it interacts with the public. "Anything that is going to help build trust among law enforcement and our residents is always a step in the right direction," he said. "I grew up having respect for law enforcement. You saw their faces.
"I'm a big fan of Governor Sherrill," Abdelaziz added. "She is a 'get-things-done governor."
The Assemblyman said he favors the Governor's efforts to thwart Trump's unconstitutional calls to nationalize elections.
"Whatever makes voting more accessible and more safe is something I'm going to support," he said. In Washington, they're trying to roll back those rights and set up more roadblocks."
