Assemblywoman Pintor Marin Applauds Nomination of Aaron Binder as State Treasurer
(TRENTON) — Assemblywoman Eliana Pintor Marin (D-Essex, Hudson), Chair of the Assembly Budget Committee, issued the following statement on Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill’s nomination of Aaron Binder to be New Jersey’s next State Treasurer:
“In selecting Aaron Binder for the New Jersey State Treasurer, Governor-elect Sherrill has chosen a name and person that Trenton knows, with years of experience in finance and strong, trusted relationships across all branches of government. On both a professional and personal level, Aaron is a trusted colleague and a dear friend, and I look forward to continuing our friendship as we move New Jersey forward together.
“My experience working with Aaron extends all the way back to his time in the Assembly Majority Office, where he played a central role in overseeing the Assembly budget and shaping the Legislature’s fiscal priorities. For more than fifteen years as a key member of the AMO leadership team, Aaron was deeply involved in negotiating, constructing, and managing the Assembly’s budget framework, guiding complex policy decisions that continue to benefit New Jersey families today.
“Congratulations to Aaron on this well-earned nomination. New Jersey is fortunate to have his leadership, and I cannot wait to see all that he will accomplish in this next chapter.”
