Bayly Winder Enters Primary As Best Positioned to Take on Van Drew MAYS

LANDING, NJ — With a definitive edge in fundraising, national recognition, and local support, Bayly Winder is entering into tomorrow’s Primary as the clear frontrunner and the best choice to take on Jeff Van Drew in the General election.

“He’s the only candidate in this race with real crossover appeal, there’s a reason Van Drew’s campaign only went after Bayly in this primary,” Hamilton Township Committeewoman Tracy Thompson said. “He’s talking about issues, like AI and data centers, that both Democrats and Republicans are passionate about. When a candidate becomes synonymous with one of the biggest issues in an election year, that’s a strong sign. That’s more than the rest of the field can claim.”

Bayly recently went head-to-head with Kevin O’Leary on CNN about AI Data Centers. Bayly has called for a short-term national moratorium on AI Data Centers until guardrails are put in place and has criticized the lack of accountability. Winder’s candidacy has also been bolstered by a slew of local and statewide endorsements, all of whom see his campaign as the strongest to flip the Second Congressional District:

● Tracy Thompson — Hamilton Township Committeewoman

● Joseph Kuehner Jr. — Egg Harbor City Council President

● Tanner Ortiz — Egg Harbor City Councilmember

● Carla Thomas — Pleasantville Council President

● Charles Oglesby Sr. — Pleasantville Councilman

● Douglas Fisher — Former NJ Secretary of Agriculture and former Assemblyman

● Edward Salmon — Former Assemblyman and former Millville Mayor

● Angela Bardoe — Cumberland County Democratic Committeewoman

● Hazel Mueller — Former Egg Harbor City Councilmember

● Richard Tolson — Former VP of the NJ State Building Trades Council and former labor leader

● James Schroeder — Former Atlantic County Democratic Chairman, former County Commissioner, and NJEA executive

● Stockton University College Democrats

● New Jersey Citizen Action

Winder is closing out the Primary with a packed schedule that includes stops in all six counties that comprise New Jersey’s Second Congressional District. “I made a promise that I will be the hardest working candidate running for this seat and I’m keeping that promise,” Winder said. “Besides, not like I’m going to get any sleep anyway, we have voters to talk to.”
