Chairman Jones Statement on Governor Phil Murphy’s Tenure

Trenton, NJ—New Jersey Democratic State Committee Chairman LeRoy J. Jones Jr. released the following statement:

“Phil Murphy is a leader New Jersey history will remember for his tough fights, promises fulfilled, and passion for public service. Under his leadership, workers got a raise, securing a $15 minimum wage. After years of disinvestment, Planned Parenthood saw its funding restored and New Jerseyans were able to better access care. In the face of a chaotic and reckless Trump administration, Governor Murphy made clear New Jersey would not back down or let abuse of power go unchecked. Governor Murphy moved our state forward, fighting for every family, regardless if you voted for him or not. I want to thank him for his years of service to our state and wish him the best in his next endeavors.”
